Re: What page layout software are you using?

<I don't see many comments about others using PageMaker and am wondering if
<most tech writers are using other software such as Quark.
We use Pagemaker for all our manuals, data sheets, brochures, etc. We
investigated Quark but like Pagemaker better, though not Pagemaker 7 (we
use 6.5). This is probably because we have been using Pagemaker for the
last 4 years and don't want the aggrevation of switching. We also use a lot
of graphics, illustrations, tables, screen shots and charts and use both
Photoshop and Illustrator as well as Viseo. Our products are analyzers that
incorporate user software. The manuals are generally 8 chapters plus
appendices and supplemental information and average about 150 - 200 pages.
We are evaluating In Design but I think it will be too graphic/page
layout-intensive for our purposes. Pagemaker seems to have the right mix of
layout and word processing that we need.
