Yes, this is possible. However, you have to have the computer and Operating
System configured for multiple-monitor support. The projector would be the
number-two monitor, while your LCD would be the number-one monitor.
PowerPoint from Office XP (version 2002) has this, and I think from Windows
98 and onward supported it. I don't know whether Office 2000 had the
settings, but it might have had them.
To make the settings in PowerPoint XP, click the Slide Show menu, then
click Set Up Show.... You'll see the Multiple Monitors section on the right
side of the Set Up Show dialog. If your system/OS has multiple-monitor
support, you should be able to change those settings to your needs. If you
can't change any of those settings, then you don't have multiple-monitor
support available/enabled.
You would set the multiple-monitor configuration in the display settings.
It's the old right-click on the desktop and click properties thing.
Hope that helps,
Thom Randolph

Does anyone know if there is a way to display the Slide as well as the
relative Speaker's Notes on the presenter's screen, but only display the
slide on the big screen for the audience?
TIA
