Michelle Rassmussen [mailto:mrassmussen -at- hotmail -dot- com] reported a textbox
problem in Word:
"..a photo of the front panel display of a large format printer. To label
the buttons on the photo, I've gone with a lovely mix of arrows and
text....when I print the document, one text box refuses to show itself. Just
that one. He's a loner."
"...why not delete the text box and give it another shot? That always
works....When I attempt to delete the text box, Windows 98 scolds Word for
performing an illegal operation....It's the only object I can't delete."

Michelle:
I've had similar problems with textboxes and frames in Word. They have a
tendency to get corrupted. If it were a Frame, there is an option on the
Format>Frame popup that has a Remove Frame button. The textbox popup
doesn't have that; it has a Convert to Frame button. So convert it to a
Frame, and then delete it.
Another option is that Word thinks that the misbehaving text box is on a
different layer from the photograph. Open the Drawing Toolbar. With the
text box selected, select Order on the Draw menu. Select Bring Forward, or
Bring to Front, then see if it prints. As MS has added graphics-type
functionality to Word's later versions, they have caused some unfixed
feature-interaction bugs that you can run afoul of unawares, and this may be
one of them. Hope this helps.
