Hi,
I am writing an article, entitled "Why I became a technical communicator",
intended for students or other professionals who are interested in becoming
technical communicators. In the article, I would like to provide real-life
examples from a variety of technical communicators, describing how they
chose or entered this profession, what they do and what they enjoy about
being a TC.
I am interested in your personal stories, which could be included in the
article. If you are willing to participate, please can you send me a
half-page summary of why you became a TC, structured along the following
lines:
a) How I became a technical communicator
b) What I currently do in my job
c) What I enjoy about being a TC
The article would provide some insight and encouragement for those thinking
of entering the profession. The final version will be submitted to various
professional publications and posted on my web site for anyone interested
in reading it.
Thanks for your help and interest.
Sincerely,
