Speaking from personal experience, I have a college background of the
sciences...mostly biological and chemical, including aa great deal of
lab wortk. Even 30 years later, I find the experience gained from lab
work is a major benefit to what I do on a daily basis.
Its the old scientific hypothesis thing. Formulate hyposthesis,
investigate to verify or disapprove, refine hypothesis,
re-investigare...
Same thing in writing.
Write instruction the way I think it shoulds work, prove or
disapprove, refine work, prove ot disapprove, etc.
