I experienced ct after falling and breaking my hand/wrist in 4 separate
places. after the broken bones healed, i was left with the tingling, numbness
and flat out pain that woke me up in the middle of the night. i had one
median release surgery, but continued to have problems. i switched first to a
microsoft natural keyboard, and then to a modular keyboard called the comfort
hand. finally i saw a different orthopod. turned out my ulnar nerve was
blocked and some other stuff was healed badly. it took 4 more surgeries and 6
years, but everything was finally healed and fixed.
i still use both ergonomic keyboards - one with my laptop, have an ergonomic
mouse at work and a trackball at home, take frequent breaks for resting and
stretching. as a result, there has been no return of ct and i never did get it
in my right hand.
my advise? see an orthopod, one who specializes in hands, get PT, change your
work setup.
and use FOUNTAIN pens!
