Subject:Single Sourcing - Myth or Salvation? From:Frank Giffin <FGiffin -at- DATUM -dot- com> To:"TECHWR-L" <techwr-l -at- lists -dot- raycomm -dot- com> Date:Thu, 14 Mar 2002 07:12:41 -0800
Maybe I'm doing something wrong, but trying to single source in my situation
is a real pain. I'm creating Java Help files by using ForeHelp to convert
Frame mif files. We use tif files in our Frame documents and I have to
convert them to gifs for ForeHelp. Then, there are some text formatting
problems that I have to clean up along with recreating some hot links in the
body that go to other pages and the hot links that I have at the bottom of
each page under an Also See: header. I'd love to be able to single source,
but it's been faster to have two documents.
If anyone has had success single sourcing Frame to ForeHelp to Java Help I'd
like to hear from you.
Thanks
Frank Giffin
