Subject:RE: name for 'general' e-mail addresses From:"Richard Smith" <richard -dot- smith -at- windriver -dot- com> To:"TECHWR-L" <techwr-l -at- lists -dot- raycomm -dot- com> Date:Fri, 15 Mar 2002 10:21:02 -0800
I have no idea what the question really means, but we generally call these
aliases. That the support@ email 'alias' points to some mechanism (or
person) for getting support requests into a support queue. The info@ 'alias'
may point to some kind of autoresponder that sends info based on the subj
line.
If you were looking for classifications/categories, then I misunderstood.I
don't have any better suggestions than those already mentioned. Sorry.
