here's my two cents:
- Personally, I like the "click" form better than the "click on" variant,
but this may simply be because of familiarity.
- Why do you use "click" anyway. I suspect that you are talking about a
standard check box, which any computer user knows about. (If there are
readers who don't, they need to learn much more than you can reasonably
teach them anyway.) So you could say something like, "Check or uncheck
the Display option as required."
This has the added advantage that you tell the users what they are to
achieve instead of redundantly (as they know anyway) specifying how they
are to achieve it.
