This also sounds like the way roofers and other contractors fix houses
here in Florida. But first they get your hopes up by telling you it will
only take 3 days. Then they plant a sign for their company in your yard,
and disappear for days at a time. Then the aforementioned "time
multiplier" kicks in, and days become weeks.
Hmmmmm, I think *I* need to get my hands on some of this time multiplier
technology....
