And that is sad. The writers at your own company don't care about the
technologies they are supposed to be documenting. How do they ever expect to
become better writers?
I personally would love to sit through a basic seminar on semiconductor
manufacturing. Because I actually like learning new things. You never know when
that kind of knowledge will come in handy.

My personal take on this is "EXACTLY".
I also agree with the saying: "There is no such thing as useless knowledge, just knowledge that you haven't found a use for yet" (from somebody's sig line on either this list or one of the framer's lists)
Then again, I read everything. Cereal boxes, labels, if it has words on or in it, I'll read it.
