There's an old axiom in show business that the best way to tell if
someone is out of work is if they have a nice tan and look well
rested.
It couldn't happen if they were working like the rest of us.
Using similar reasoning, I guess that coming out of lurk mode
announces to the world (the list, anyway) that you aren't that busy
and can afford the luxury of not only reading the thread but
composing a timely and pithy (sometimes) reply.
Who would admit to that?
