I get the digest, and it's like walking into a room full of people
talking. I can listen in on particular conversations that interests me
(Please use accurate subject lines!), but I can't always keep track of
what the context is.
I imagine walking back into a conversation after being gone for a while,
and saying something that had already been thoroughly discussed just
previous to my entering. Besides being awkward, and unhelpful, I think it
shows a lack of respect for other people's time.
I just don't have to time to keep up with the conversation enough to feel
like I can productively add to it.
Also, it's amazing how if I carefully consider the value of what I have to
say, and why I'm saying it, how little I have to add to day-old threads.
