A comment about a minor part of Geoff's insightful (as usual)
post:

Back when, I compared deltagraph and kaleidagraph. Found
Kaleidagraph to be easier to use, more reliable and more
versatile. But that was a while ago. I agree, however, that
Delta Graph was better than Excel.
