Karen Casemier asked about creating help for RF devices to be also used
as a sales tool.
You might want to ask Sales how/why they want to use your RF help. Here
are several possibilities and how they might affect you:
(1) Sales wants to use it to learn more about how the app on the RF
devices work. In this case, you don't have to worry so much about
getting them a pretty version... just some way for them to get the help
onto their laptops (or in printed format).
(2) Sales can't demo the RF device and wants to show off what it can do.
This is probably not the best way of demo'ing the app. Perhaps there
is some way for you to give them a file with just the topic headings,
which they can use as bullet points in presentations. Or if you are able
to emulate the RF device on your PC, perhaps you can make a screen movie
for them to use as a demo.
(3) Sales wants to show how good the help is. In this case, they just
need a few representative topics. Copy-and-paste or re-type the
information into something that can present this well (such as a Word or
PowerPoint document, where they sample help is displayed within boxes
the size of the actual screen).
