Tech writing -- anyone can do it.
I'd rather it was "writing -- anyone can do it".
My dream retort is: Sure, and anyone can do arithmetic, but
that doesn't qualify them to prepare your tax return, does
it?
The retort should infer that there is more knowledge and
skill in tech writing than is evidenced by the basic writing
process itself.
Ommmm. The money's good, the money's gooooood. Ommmmmmm.
