That is definitely true. As it happens, on May 23 there was a public web
chat about the future of Office with Heikki Kanerva (Director of Office
Program Management at Microsoft), and I mentioned this. He's asked me to
provide some details as to how it *ought* to work. I'm gathering the views
of the other Word MVPs, before sending off a suggestion, but if anyone here
has any suggestions, then by all means contact me offlist. I'll post a
summary back here.
The starting point I'm working from is that I want the control and
flexibility of numbering using SEQ fields without the inconvenience of
having to insert the things by hand.
