To me, the fact that your question included the phrase "your users ask
for..." indicates that the question answers itself.

Your users are asking for something. Give it to them.

The term "jargon" is thought by many to be derogatory, but in this case it
illustrates why jargon exists: certain fields employ elements of language
not commonly found elsewhere.

If it's not *their* goal that you end up with jargon-free text you can
re-use or recycle in other situations, then it's not their problem how you
do so.

But it's worth some thought on your end to come up with a way to
de-jargonize it for later use if such a scenario seems likely. XML,
conditional text, or whatever - it should be transparent to this user, who
should get what they pay for. If you end up with something you can re-use,
good for you!
