1) The Cancel button is a standard Windoze feature. If necessary,
document it once but don't refer to it in every location. Include an
index reference to the Cancel button, to help those who . . . would
otherwise not have a clue about this button (in my experience, lawyers,
doctors, and a large percentage of the state legislature).
2) If the Cancel button does something different and unique in a place,
or something unexpected, or there is some confusing arrangement of
buttons, such as the dialog box contains an OK, Yes, No, and Cancel
buttons, all four, you might want to document it for a particular
instance.

Hi all!
We are having a slight problem in our tech writing team. If you write a
procedure that ends in the user having to click OK to save or has the
option
of clicking Cancel to cancel everything, do you include the both in your
instruction?
