Misuses of tack and tack drive me bonkers ... as in
"A diplomat, employing tact (not tack), can tell you to go to h*ll in such a
way that you look forward to the trip."
and
"A marketeer, realizing his initial approach wasn't working, tried a
different tack (not tact)."
And ... is it duck tape or duct tape? (I vote duct since that was its
original purpose - to seal joints in aluminum air ducts.
