TechWhirl (TECHWR-L) is a resource for technical writing and technical communications professionals of all experience levels and in all industries to share their experiences and acquire information.
For two decades, technical communicators have turned to TechWhirl to ask and answer questions about the always-changing world of technical communications, such as tools, skills, career paths, methodologies, and emerging industries. The TechWhirl Archives and magazine, created for, by and about technical writers, offer a wealth of knowledge to everyone with an interest in any aspect of technical communications.
Well, I would imagine there are a number of ways to do this -- like going to
each
engineer's computer and replacing all their templates with the ones you want
them to use. If you'd prefer an automated solution, it seems a fair amount
of VB programming is in order. Perhaps one of your engineers could help you
out.
Or, you could point them to this site (http://www.clicktoaddtitle.com/) and
let them know what bad presentation design really looks like. Maybe a
"scared straight" tactic is all that's required...
