TechWhirl (TECHWR-L) is a resource for technical writing and technical communications professionals of all experience levels and in all industries to share their experiences and acquire information.
For two decades, technical communicators have turned to TechWhirl to ask and answer questions about the always-changing world of technical communications, such as tools, skills, career paths, methodologies, and emerging industries. The TechWhirl Archives and magazine, created for, by and about technical writers, offer a wealth of knowledge to everyone with an interest in any aspect of technical communications.
When FrameMaker opens a document, it checks for all of the linked
graphics in that document. If it can't find one or more, it asks you
where to look. When you re-select the first missing graphic, FrameMaker
will automatically try to use the new directory you specified for any
other missing graphics, and will update the path accordingly when you
save.
So it's semi-automatic, so to speak, but it beats saving as MIF and using
a text editor to search and replace.
>How do you update the paths of imported graphics in a FrameMaker document
>the way Word does ?
