I find this believable. It's the right tool for the job. Just as I would expect Adobe employees to use Word to write short papers and memos.

Incidentally, we have come across a few of these fun finds recently... a major computer company with 3 initials uses JRun (a Macromedia server product) for some of it's dynamic web content, even though they make their own server product. I'm sure there are others.

Subject: FrameMaker used for Microsoft documentation?

Hello all:

Been away from the list for awhile...

I'm writing a position paper on why my business unit supports Framemaker
instead of Word for all its technical documents. One of the reviewers writes
that he read in Adobe literature--and heard it from other people--that
Microsoft uses (or used) Frame to create their documents.

Can anyone point me to the evidence, or is this one of those hoaxes, like
Bill Gates handing out money...

Thanks,
Donn Le Vie, Jr.
