I'm trying to convert some files from FrameMaker to DocBook.

An important step in this conversion is to map the default paragraph and
character tags in FrameMakers to elements in DocBook.

Has anybody done the same? If so, what mappings did you use?

Failing that, has anybody decided on a sub-set of DocBook elements to
simplify learning and use? If so, would you be willing to share the
sub-sets with the list?

My thanks in advance for any help.
