Greetings from digest-land! This thread reminds me of a software manual
that a QA person, who was actually using it, brought over to my desk. The
author of the manual not only put her name on the inside of the cover, but
there was also a page before the main TOC that she used for dedications.
This person, in what I thought was a very touching manner, dedicated the
manual to a few people, and even included her dog. The QA person, my boss
and I laughed for quite a while about that one.
I'm not saying that there's anything wrong with that, but it was the first
dedication I've seen in a manual.
