Well, in FrameMaker books, you can add an IOR (index of references) that
lists all imported graphics in alphabetical order by file path/name. With
the book window active, select Add>Index Of>References. In the Set Up
dialog, include Imported Graphics.
I just use the IORs to manually clean up my graphics directories. Someone
into automation could use a FrameScript to export the IOR list to a database
or text file, and then use a Perl/Python/VB/whatever script to delete or
move the files that aren't in the list.
