I worked for Dragon for several years back in the early 1990s (wrote the UG
for their DOS product, and their first ever Windows release). Their
recognition engine was THE best in the industry at the time, and with a
small time investment to train the system to adapt to your voice, you could
really fly with it.

I believe Dragon Naturally Speaking was their latest product offering, but
I don't know if there will be more. Dragon was bought by Lernout &
Hauspie, which promptly went bankrupt, basically halting further
development of the great technology Jim and Janet Baker (Dragon's founders)
spent years developing. Check out the Boston Globe archives for
information on the Dragon saga.
