Man, that sounds really familiar. I vaguely remember something about differences in changes in transative and intransative verbs.....but I can't remember what it was. When I get home I'll have to crack open my historical linguistics books and have a look. I'll get back later if I find something out.....

I totally aggree (as I mentioned the same thing in an earlier post). I find it ironic that I am complaining about linguistic innovation with vocabularly when I am a staunch supporter of descriptive grammar......heheheh. I suppose I should overcome my gut reaction to particularly "creative" innovations (a reaction which is quite human mind you) and just accept it as part of life.....mmmm, but that might be too open minded. :-)
