All the time. I think it's the easiest way to get a
point across though - wipe out all the conflicts and
present your points in a utopian context. It may not
be the best way to persuade your readers, but it's the
easiest way to write. *g*
By the way. Technical Communication (Aug 2002) has a
call for papers for a special Single-Sourcing issue. I
hope all the true experts on this list submit, so the
journal isn't riddled with out of context technobabble
from the wonderful world of academia. :)
