Am I the only person who thinks there's more to life than work?

I think your orientation depends partly where you are in life. If you're just getting started with a field, than probably work is going to be the major preoccupation with your life - especially if you're a company officer. But, if you're established, or your company is a going concern, then you're probably going to be focused on more than work.
I think it's healthy to enjoy your work, but not to have it as the only concern in your life.
