Maybe we are talking about different things. It just seems to me that if you
are able to document something as complicated as gas turbines, you'd be able
to create a decent sample. Not some made-up bit of gobbledygook, but a
document about a generic system that highlights your knowledge. I still
agree with Ed. If I were the original poster, I'd write a sample.
