I presume the recent recession has
tarnished whatever gloss these pieces of
papers used to have to most people.
I guess the height of my cynicism was
reached in a recent job when I was
awarded more stock options out of the
blue, two days before I was laid off.
One day before I was laid off, the CTO
gave a little speech about how
nothing too radical was planned to cut
costs, which means I also allow myself
a wry smile when I hear words like
"company loyalty".
I'm considered right-wing to a lot of
my friends (fiscally, not socially), but
after reading a lot of the mail in the
last few days, I feel like a Marxist.
Comrade Paul.
