In following this discussion, am reminded that in Ireland 16 years ago (it might
have changed) when registering at a hotel I was confronted with a form asking me for
my "Christian Name" and my Last Name. I have no idea what Muslims or Hindus, to name
two, did. Perhaps they didn't visit.
