I totally agree. You need to know the backbone of
whatever you do, not just the flesh, to be as
marketable as you can be. How far into the nitty
gritty you get is up to you, but the tools knowledge
wildcards have pretty much all been played. Employers
aren't looking for a FrameMaker or Dreamweaver expert
anymore; they're looking for competant people who can
get stuff done and do good work, people who know the
company's industry, people who can use tools to get
the real work done.
