Well, you won't know whether it'll be worth it or not
until you do it. ;) If you could use the contacts, do
it. If you're going out of curiosity, then you need to
weigh the time against other things and prioritize, I
guess. But, if for example you're out of work and need
to make some professional contacts to possibly help
get a job, then definitely go. The worst that can
happen is you meet a bunch of lame ducks, enjoy some
snacks and beverages, and then leave knowing that it
probably won't be worth your time in the future. But,
you never know what good could come out of it.
