I give a talk around the country (when asked) about Getting Good PDF. It is
VERY well attended. People literally have cried because it was not them,
they were not stupid. Everyone leaves having learned something important
they can use the next day.
Unfortunately, so many companies think that this is it and how PDFs are.
They are unwilling to even let me consult for an hour to help them get
better PDFs. They see no need for it. 5 meg user manual on the web? OK. It
is just bandwidth. Even though I can show them how to get a 2.5 meg
document, it doesn't matter to them. There is no return on the investment.
And I understand that.

You know, there's a huge market out there for somebody to just make
good, solid PDFs. Seemingly, very few have a good handle on this.
Indeed, Adobe should pay, as well, because bad PDFs make for bad press
and opinions such as offered by Keith. Now, if only companies knew they
needed such a service . . ..
Cheers and grins,
Sean
