LOCALIZATION PROJECT MANAGEMENT Seminar
Seattle, WA
21 October 2002. Cost: $795
The ability of project managers on both the vendor and the publisher
side to manage projects well is of crucial importance for the
quality, the cost, and the timely delivery of localization projects.
Many localization project managers, however never had any formal
project management training. This seminar will give new and
experienced managers a solid grounding in project management theory
and practice. It will use examples from the localization field and
show the benefits of replacing a highly individualized process with
one that is standard, repeatable, predictable and consistent. The
seminar will have an interactive format that will allow for
participants' questions.
Group discounts available.

Dan got into his car and started his drive home. He felt satisfied after
a good, productive day at work. As he pulled onto the highway, he
reflected upon why he felt so happy - SnagIt had just made his work go so
quickly that afternoon.
Capturing a precise area of the screen for his manual went so well. He
was also able to directly save his images as files, so he could save them
and use them again. He then thought about how well the Extended Windows
Capture feature worked - in Windows XP he could capture an entire, long
Web page and include the browser frame.
He switched on the radio and heard the deejay ask for dedications. After
a moment's hesitation, he dialed the number on his cell phone.
When the deejay picked up the phone, Dan said, "I'd like to make a
dedication to SnagIt. That's S-N-A-G-I-T. Yes, that's right - it's a
private joke. They'll know who they are when they hear it. Thanks a
lot."
He laughed to himself as he hung up and thought about how his dedication
to the software was only fair - because the people behind SnagIt were
completely dedicated to him.
