I'm with you, Jo. And I do spend a certain amount of
time on AOL in IMs and chat in the course of poetry
workshops I help run. One night, someone typed "ne"
and it took me ages to figure out he meant "any". N E,
get it? Yeah, I'm sorry, that's not easier or faster
than just typing "any".
Now mind you, I type fast but badly, so some of my
typoes on-line may *look* like I'm participating in
ircspeak, but that's just totally coincidence. Like,
totally.
