Re: Having a killer resume
- why should the company be interested in a technical writer and information designer (unless, of course, it's advertised for one)
Instead of an objective statement, I have a summary of skills as written by an awesome recruiter that I once worked with. Combined with a T-letter (which I advocate strongly -- check the tech-whirler's website for information), I have had no trouble getting job interviews.
My recent 10-week span of unemployment seemed like forever, but was very short compared to what some of you are going through.
As usual, I am not shy about showing off my killer resume. Feel free to copy the format if you think it will work for you -- it is freeware. (If you get a job, a finder's fee would be nice ;).
