TechWhirl (TECHWR-L) is a resource for technical writing and technical communications professionals of all experience levels and in all industries to share their experiences and acquire information.
For two decades, technical communicators have turned to TechWhirl to ask and answer questions about the always-changing world of technical communications, such as tools, skills, career paths, methodologies, and emerging industries. The TechWhirl Archives and magazine, created for, by and about technical writers, offer a wealth of knowledge to everyone with an interest in any aspect of technical communications.

I'll bet he's very good at what he does. I'll also bet his company has tremendous turnover (or he works stictly by himself) because no writer can meet his expectations except himself. He *expects* you to meet him at the door as a fully-formed writer, without seeming to realize that technical writers often require technical training since academic programs are disconnected from the reality of the field.
I also wonder about how he can retain clients and meet their goals and deadlines whenhe rejects "processes," seeing them all as a means to avoid work rather than to enhance it. That suggests disorder to me (although I bet he uses a process without admitting it).
Generally speaking, he comes across as demanding and unwilling to see anything other than his own viewpoint. Discussion isn't allowed, since anything *other* than the technological aspects of the job is nothing more than whining or "touchy-feely" crap. He's got all the answers, and no one can share anything with him that has any worth.
