Re: Yahoo has no staff tech writers
Do those of you who are so righteously indignant over GWB's pronunciation
of "nuclear" get equally stirred up about the approximatley 75% of the
American population who pronounce "comfortable" as "cumf ter bull," or the
roughly 67.553% who pronounce "February" as "feb you airy"?
If so, you must be fun at parties. :)
Didn't you know? The grammatical neurosis is an easy way to claim expertise and superiority. Correcting someone's grammar is an easy put down,because almost everyone feels unsure of their grammar and believe it should be better.
(BTW - I note that no one noticed my deliberate omission of a few words in one of my posts to Bonnie. I take that as proof of my claim that errors don't matter as much as they say. Or maybe everyone's too polite to point out my mistakes).
