My take:

Or just use the product name.
> * the applications that are delivered from the server.

(or use the product names)
> the PC's operating system
workstation host OS
(or just 'workstation OS')
> the server's system
server host OS
It can get a little tricky: Is this a web app, like an .asp
application? In that case the client is the browser and nothing
else is installed on the workstation.
Or is it a true application server? In that case the 'client' is
temporarily running on the workstation. Is anything installed on
the user workstations other than a browser?
