Not to reply with "RTFM" or anything on this list (of all places), but a
quick Google search found, among other hits, a well-reasoned explanation
with historical support, which is all I need to know...
The site also provides support for pronouncing Linux "lee-nooks" as well,
but the historical support is that tired old recording of Linus saying
it, and how authoritative a source is that? ;-)
