When I've been in this situation, I took the code back to the developers
and had them insert breaks, to make sure any arbitrary breaks I might add
would not impact the meaning of the code.
Or I've gone ahead and studied the code, and made what I thought were
logical line breaks, but flagged the snippets as needing to be reviewed
and signed off by the developer.
