Subject: hard disk vs. hard drive

I have a terminology issue. I am trying to determine whether to use "hard
disk" or "hard drive" to refer to fuzzy concept of "where data is stored
on the computer."

---------------

I use the term "fixed disk" or "network drive" for general terms. If there
is a specific drive, then I either use the phrase "on drive c:\" or what
ever letter you need, or "on \\BNYxxxxx...x " if using UNC disk assignments
