Subject:Tool for comparing sentences in two documents? From:Gelius Henrik <henrik -dot- gelius -at- siemens -dot- com> To:"TECHWR-L" <techwr-l -at- lists -dot- raycomm -dot- com> Date:Fri, 8 Nov 2002 08:57:34 +0100
Hi,
I need to compare two documents (plain text is fine) on a sentence level, to
check what original sentences in document1 are present in document2. Have
anyone seen such a tool, please?
Something like this:
Doc1
The first sentence.
A second one.
Not a very big document.
Last sentence.
Doc2
This is document 2.
It is different.
A second one.
Maybe some sentences are the same.
The tool would scan all sentences in Doc1 and then report if any of them are
present in Doc2, like
The sentence 'A second one.' (line 2 in source) was found at line 3 in
target.
Any tips are welcome!
Thanks,
Henrik
