Am I the only person who has ever heard of a straw man argument? The way a straw man
works is that you create a position and then destroy it. It's really a nonsense
argument to discuss whether or not style is more important than content because
NOBODY EVER SAID IT WAS, except those who want to 'prove' that content is more
important than style, which NOBODY EVER SAID.
Here are some facts:
I can create a document that is both 100% accurate and 100% useless.
I can create a document that is 100% inaccurate and 100% useless.
I can create a document that is NOT 100% inaccurate and is useful.
I can keep doing this as long as I want. :-)
I cannot create a document that is both 100% accurate and 100% useful. I don't
believe anyone can or ever has.
Finally, I don't know who is stupider: the people who create the straw man argument
so they can look good demolishing it. (Poor straw man; everybody picks on you.) Or
the people who ARGUE with the creaters of the straw man. Frankly, a pox on both your
houses. I think you're all too stupid to be allowed to use a keyboard without supervision.
