My last 4 points:
1. I am glad we all agree. Content is more important than design. Let's all keep
that in mind and try to practice it now. And let's encourage the organizations
and groups we belong to, to start doing more than just give content lip service.
Make it a priority: THE priority.
2. Calling me names isn't acceptable, I don't care how vehemently you disagree
with me or dislike my personality. If you disagree with me, prove me wrong. Argue
against my points, not against my personality. Remember, I use my personality as
a rhetorical tactic.
3. Just because I used the word "you", doesn't mean its specifically directed at
YOU.
4. Bruce makes a key point - many organizations are in triage mode. As such
decisions have to be made. I hope everybody remembers that content is more
important than style. Hence, working to repair inaccuracies and incomplete
information will yield more lasting results than changing the FrameMaker template
or ensuring Helvetica 10 pt is used on all the headings.
