Yep. Something similar happened to a bunch of folks on craigslist in the SF
Bay Area last summer. Folks who'd posted their resumes on the site were
contacted about job openngs, and asked to come in for interviews the
following Saturday. Some investigation showed that the "office" was a
Starbucks in Palo Alto, the company didn't exist, and the folks who sent in
requested info like SS# and the like were very, very upset.
