Your Mileage WILL Vary!
As a betting man, if I were so inclined, I would not bet that 3 different writers
following the same putative standards would produce similar User manuals.
However, you can increase your odds of producing documents that have a common look,
feel, and voice if you add a Managing Editor (aka Arbiter and Enforcer of All that
is Good and Right and True) to see that inconsistencies in language, approach, and
presentation are corrected.
But three writers working on their own following the same standards? They'll most
likely produce three different results.
